Forza Motorsport 4 is a racing simulation for the Xbox 360 video game console developed by Microsoft . It is the successor to the Forza Motorsport 3 released in 2009 . The game was released in the fall of 2011. Due to the large amount of data, the game was delivered on two discs, whereby only the first was mandatory while the second contains additional tracks and cars. The Forza Motorsport 4 demo has been released for download to Xbox Live members .
Gameplay
Forza Motorsport 4 is the successor to Forza Motorsport ( Xbox ), Forza Motorsport 2 (Xbox 360) and Forza Motorsport 3 (Xbox 360), a realistic car racing simulator that was published exclusively for the Xbox 360.
The game includes modifiable cars from 80 manufacturers and many well-known race tracks such as Le Mans , Laguna Seca or the Sebring International Raceway , but also fictional tracks such as Maple Valley or the Bernese Alps.
Basically, the game principle is adopted from Forza Motorsport 3 , but some changes have been made to make the game interesting for casual gamers. For example, it is possible to control the game with just one button when all driving aids are switched on. In addition, the rewind function, also known from Forza Motorsport 3, has been incorporated, which, similar to Race Driver: GRID, allows driving errors to be reversed by setting the events to the time before the driving error.
The cockpit view known from Forza Motorsport 3 for each of the cars and the improved editor, with which it is possible to create short films and publish them online, is also available again in the fourth part of the series.
Kinect
The game has some Kinect options, such as operating the menu by voice command, head tracking, to look to the left / right when driving out of the car or even to completely control the car with your hands.
In addition, Kinect can be used as a microphone for voice chat during online games, eliminating the need for a separate headset.
Multiplayer / online part
For Xbox Live -gold members is an interaction with other players and its Xbox Live friends thanks to auto clubs, rivals mode and a 16-player multiplayer mode.
VIP players (buyers of the Collector's Edition) receive special cars from the game developer at regular intervals. These are usually characterized by special tuning setups and / or paintwork.

criticism
- For licensing reasons, there were no Porsche vehicles in the original version of the game , as the rights for this are held by Electronic Arts . After all, there are vehicles from RUF , an automobile manufacturer that produces its own vehicles based on Porsche bodyshells. However, Microsoft announced on March 5, 2012 that they had solved the licensing problem with EA and would thus release a Porsche expansion pack on May 22, containing 30 vehicles
