The Fränkbach , also called Frenkbach , is a creek almost three and a half kilometers long on the edge of the Spessart Nature Park in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart , which flows from the right into the Karbach when coming from the north .

geography

course

The Fränkbach rises at an altitude of about 282  m above sea level. NN on the Marktheidenfelder Platte in the Buchacker field corridor from an intermittent spring on the southern edge of a mixed forest a good seven hundred meters southwest of the Roden district of Ansbach, directly east of the MSP 12 district road leading to Ansbach .

The stream initially flows in a slight curve a good one kilometer southeast through an agricultural zone, then bends sharply to the southwest and is fed almost two hundred meters downstream on its right side by the Buchbuckelgraben, which runs parallel to it about two hundred meters south . The Fränkbach then moves south-south-west through the Schenkwiesen and is reinforced at the sand pit on the same side of the Krendelgraben . The Fränkbach now crosses under the state road St 2438, which leads from Roden to Urspringen, and then takes on the Frongraben , which is approaching from Roden from the east, on its left . From there it is a perennial brook.

The Fränkbach now flows, accompanied by the MSP 12, through a narrow, wooded valley on the south-eastern slope of the Fuchsberg ( 260  m above sea level ), then runs west past the wood mill , then passes the boundary between Roden and Markt Karbach and flows into it immediately a height of about 173  m above sea level. NN directly below the Brunnenmühle from the right into the Karbach coming from the east .
