Former town hall (Mairie) of Frétigny

Frétigny is a village and a former French commune with 526 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Eure-et-Loir department in the Center-Val de Loire region . It belonged to the arrondissement of Nogent-le-Rotrou and the canton of Nogent-le-Rotrou (until 2015: Canton Thiron-Gardais ).

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former communities of Saint-Denis-d'Authou and Frétigny were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Saintigny and have the status of a Commune déléguée there . The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Denis-d'Authou.

location

Frétigny is about 40 kilometers west-southwest of Chartres . Frétigny is surrounded by the villages of Saint-Victor-de-Buthon in the north, Montlandon in the north and northeast, Champrond-en-Gâtine in the east and northeast, Combres in the east and southeast, Saint-Denis-d'Authou in the south and Marolles les-Buis to the west and north-west.
