François Marque (born July 31, 1983 in Troyes ) is a French football player . The left foot is mainly used in the position of the center or left defender.
Career
François Marque started his career at RCS La Chapelle in 2002 . He stayed there for two years and moved to FC Libourne-Saint-Seurin in the summer of 2004 . In 2004/05, however, he was not used there and therefore moved to FC Baulmes in the second Swiss league after the season . In one and a half seasons he played 45 games there and scored one goal.
In January 2007 he joined FC Basel , with whom he played in the Super League . In his first year he won the Swiss Cup there . In the following year he repeated the cup victory with FC Basel and was also Swiss football champion . In 2007/08 he also played in the UEFA Cup and in the 2008/09 season Marque also played in the UEFA Champions League . Although FC Basel did poorly and finished last in the group, Marque managed to make some good games. He also made a major contribution to the fact that the team at Camp Nou was able to win a 1-1 draw against FC Barcelona . In the 2009/10 season Marque was unable to play in the first half of the season due to a torn cruciate ligament . He made his comeback in January in a friendly against Bayern Munich .
Shortly afterwards he moved to Grenoble Foot in the French first division. At the end of the season he rose with the club as bottom of the table in Ligue 2. He then worked for SC Bastia for two years before losing a contract in the summer of 2013. On October 15, 2013, he then signed with the German third division club 1. FC Saarbrücken, for whom he first played four days later in the game at MSV Duisburg .
On November 30, 2013, a doping test from him was positive. He was therefore banned from the DFB for six games. Marque was then terminated without notice on February 25, 2014 in Saarbrücken.
He has been under contract with FC Le Mont-sur-Lausanne in the Swiss Challenge League since August 2015 . Here he played until February 2017 and played 39 games. Immediately afterwards he moved to Asia , where he joined the Brunei DPMM FC . The club played in the highest Singaporean league, the S. League . For DPMM, he completed two top division games. His contract was terminated in March 2017. Until June 2017 he was without a contract or association. In July 2017, the Swiss club Yverdon-Sport FC signed him. He played here until the end of his career in June 2016.
