François person
François Person SMA (born September 19, 1890 in Plouharnel , France , † July 8, 1938 ) was Vicar Apostolic of the Ivory Coast .
Life
François Person joined the Society of Africa Missions and was ordained a priest on July 11, 1920 .
Pope Pius XI Appointed Vicar Apostolic of Ivory Coast and Titular Bishop of Paraetonium on December 9, 1935 . He received the episcopal ordination on May 10, 1936 from Augustin Hermann SMA, Apostolic Vicar of Untervolta . Co-consecrators were Hubert Joseph Paulissen SMA, Vicar Apostolic of Kumasi , and Louis Parisot SMA, Vicar Apostolic of Dahomey . François Person died in July 1938 at the age of only 47.
