François Sagat (born June 5, 1979 in Cognac , Charente ) is a French model and porn actor who has worked primarily in gay and bisexual porn films.

Life

Sagat was born in 1979 in Cognac in the Charente department in southwest France. His father is of Slovak-Lebanese descent and his mother is from Lebanon . After finishing school he moved to Paris when he was 18, hoping to find work in the fashion industry there. From early childhood Sagat was fascinated by fashion and a passionate draftsman. However, after he studied fashion for two years at the university and briefly worked, as he calls it as an "auxiliary slave", in various fashion houses, he gave up the profession. He believes he was not given the opportunities he deserved and claims that it even cost him money to work in the fashion industry as he was often not paid for his work.

At around the age of 21, Sagat became interested in working in the porn industry. He worked as a model for several French companies, but stopped working in front of the camera because he felt badly treated.

When he was 25 years old, he was approached by the French pornography studio Citébeur in a gay internet chat . He accepted the offer and a few weeks later starred in his first pornographic film. Since the film was hugely successful, Sagat decided to seek full-time employment in the porn industry. Six months later he was invited to move to the USA . The porn film he shot there was Arabesque .

Sagat quickly became known in the United States for its eye-catching head tattoo. In an interview, he stated that he had the feeling that his head was looking misshapen because of the hair that had been running out for several years. So he decided to go for a tattoo that was meant to create a more symmetrical look. Another eye-catching tattoo on his back was a combination of crescent moon and star, reminiscent of the flags of Turkey and Tunisia . He stated that he loves Arab men and wanted to use the tattoo to express his admiration and respect for the people and the culture of the Arab countries. Since 2017 at the latest, it has been concealed by a cover-up tattoo.

As a porn actor, he also appeared in BDSM films. Although he is mainly known as a performer in gay productions, he shot his first bisexual scene in 2007 in Gay Arab Club . In the same year he was nominated in six categories and won the GayVN Award for best newcomer. He shot various porn films with the US company Raging Stallion before signing an exclusive contract with Titan Media .

Sagat was portrayed by the artist duo Pierre et Gilles in 2008 in the painting Les temps modern .

Since 2009 Sagat has also been increasingly seen in feature films. He had roles in Saw VI (2009) and LA Zombie: The Movie That Would Not Die (2010). In the same year he played Emmanuel in Christophe Honoré's Mann im Bad - Diary of a gay love at the side of Chiara Mastroianni . The title alludes to a painting by the impressionist Gustave Caillebotte .

For a while he had a relationship with the European porn actor Francesco D'Macho .
