Françoise Adnet

Françoise Adnet (born July 17, 1924 in Paris , † March 9, 2014 in Paris) was a French pianist and painter .

Life

Françoise Adnet was the daughter of the architect and decorator Jacques Adnet (1900–1984). She took piano lessons at the age of four and made her debut at the age of 12 at a piano recital in Berlin . Adnet later studied at the École Normale de Musique , under Professors Marguerite Long and Alfred Cortot . As a concert pianist, she has performed on several stages across Europe.

In the 1970s, Françoise Adnet said goodbye to the concert stage and devoted himself entirely to painting. She exhibited her works in New York City , Palm Beach , Toronto , Venice , Chicago , Caracas , Geneva , Osaka and Tunis . Françoise Adnet was married to the gallery owner and art collector Max Fourny; and founder of the Musée d'Art Naïf in the Paris district of Montmartre .
