Francesco de Leonibus is a former Italian racing car driver .

Racing career

Francesco de Leonibus was active in touring and sports car racing between 1958 and 1964 . He competed in national races and started in 1959 for the first time at the Targa Florio . In 1960 he was also entered in the 24 Hours of Le Mans , where he drove an Alfa Romeo Giulietta SV Conrero 1150 together with Bernard Consten . The duo could not finish the race because of a technical defect on the Alfa Romeo.

His best results were the 15th places in the final classification at the 6-hour race at Brands Hatch in 1964 and the 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps of the same year .
