Sebring 12 hour race in 1961
The tenth Sebring 12-hour race , also the Sebring 12-Hour Florida International Grand Prix of Endurance for the Alitalia Cup, Sebring , took place on March 25, 1961 at the Sebring International Raceway and was the first race of the sports car world championship of this Year.
The race
After Porsche won the 12-hour race in 1960 , Ferrari was back on the list of winners in 1961 . The Scuderia celebrated a double victory. Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien stayed victorious in a Ferrari 250TRI .
