William "Bill" Wuesthoff is a former American car racing driver .

Career

Bill Wuesthoff was active as a sports car driver in the 1950s and 1960s . Wuesthoff was a committed amateur racing driver who was able to celebrate some successes. In 1964 he finished second in the US Road Racing Championship behind Jim Hall . His only start in Europe was taking part in the 1000 km race at the Nürburgring in 1958 , where he finished 28th in the final ranking in a Porsche 356 A Speedster . His best international result was, in addition to third place in the 12-hour race at Sebring in 1962, the overall victory in the 500 km race in Bridgehampton in 1964 . Wuesthoff won the race together with Joe Buzzetta in a Porsche 904 GTS .
