The twelfth Coppa Maifredi , also XII. Circuito del Garda, Coppa Maifredi , was a GT race that took place on May 1, 1962 on the Circuito del Garda . At the same time, the race was the fourth round of this year's sports car world championship .

The race

The 1962 European sports car world championship continued with the Coppa Maifredi . The first three races of that year were held in the United States . At the race on Lake Garda , only Abarth racing vehicles were registered and at the start. The event ended with Ludovico Scarfiotti winning ahead of Innes Ireland and Jean Guichet .
