Claude Dubois
Claude Dubois (born December 26, 1932 ) is a former Belgian racing driver .
Career
Claude Dubois began his racing career in the early 1950s. He first made a name for himself internationally in 1956, when he was Gilberte Thirion's partner in the 1000 km race in Kristianstad in a Porsche 550 of the Equipe Nationale Belge and finished twelfth overall in the sports car world championship . Dubois now started regularly for the team in international sports car races. In 1957 he made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans . The race ended prematurely for him because the mechanics of the team did not fill the Porsche 550 with petrol that did not comply with the regulations and the car was disqualified after 70 laps. His best result at Le Mans was tenth overall in 1966 , which he achieved together with Pierre Noblet for the Ecurie Francorchamps.
In 1962 he was eleventh in the Berlin Grand Prix , third in the Coppa Cittá di Enna and seventh in the Tour de France for automobiles .
In addition to his racing activities, the Belgian built a middle-class existence. In the mid-1960s, a Belgian Ford importer became a Ford dealership through a first Ford dealership. After the end of his own racing career in 1967, he had built his own racing team and supported the racing activities of many Belgian racing drivers.
