Georges Harris (born May 7, 1921 - July 15, 2019 ) was a Belgian racing driver .

Career in motorsport

Georges Harris was primarily active as a GT and sports car driver in the 1950s and 1960s . He celebrated his first international success in 1956 at the first 1000 km race in Paris , where he finished seventh overall with Christian Goethals in a Porsche 550 of the Equipe Nationale Belge . His greatest achievement was winning the 1957 Spa Grand Prix .

He contested the Le Mans 24-hour race twice and was class winner each time. In 1957 he won the class for sports cars up to 2 liters in a Ferrari 500TRC . In 1962 he finished the race as the winner of the experimental class up to 1.3 liter displacement.
