Abarth-Simca 2000 GT

The Coppa Cittá di Enna 1964 , also IV. Coppa di Citta Enna , took place on August 16 at the Autodromo di Pergusa in Enna in Sicily and was the 12th round of the sports car world championship of that year.

The race

After 1962 - winners Marsilio Pasotti and Giancarlo Scotti in a Fiat-Abarth 1000 - and 1963 - winner Romano Perdomi , also in a Fiat-Abarth 1000 - the racing event was again part of the sports car world championship in 1964 . This year, too, the race ended with a success for the Abarth works cars . Three Abarth drivers battled it out for victory until the end of the race. The outcome was very close, Hans Herrmann won after a driving time of 1: 38: 44.200 hours 0.2 seconds ahead of Franco Patria and 0.7 seconds ahead of Romano Perdomi.
