Francisco Castro Lalupu

Francisco Castro Lalupú (born August 13, 1973 in the Bellavista District , Sullana Province , Piura Region , Peru ) is a Peruvian Roman Catholic clergyman and appointed auxiliary bishop in Trujillo .

Life

Francisco Castro Lalupú studied first at the seminary of the Archdiocese of Piura and later at the seminary of the Archdiocese of Trujillo . He received his theological degree from the Papal Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome. On June 6, 2004, he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Trujillo.

After ordination, he took on various roles in parish pastoral care, most recently as parish vicar at Trujillo Cathedral since 2018 , and in priestly training and in the administration of the Archdiocese of Trujillo. From 2011 to 2014 he worked in the pastoral care of acolytes . Since 2016 he has been Episcopal Vicar for the economic and administrative affairs of the Archdiocese.

Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Putia in Byzacena and auxiliary bishop in Trujillo on April 4, 2020 .
