Francisco de Assis Pires

Francisco de Assis Pires (born October 4, 1880 in Salvador , Bahia , Brazil , † February 10, 1960 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and bishop of Crato .

Life

Francisco de Assis Pires received on 14 April 1903, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On August 11, 1931, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Crato. The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia , Augusto Álvaro da Silva , donated him episcopal ordination on December 6th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Guaxupé , Ranulfo da Silva Farias , and the Bishop of Barra , Adalberto Accioli Sobral .

On July 11, 1959, Pope John XXIII. the resignation put forward by Francisco de Assis Pires and appointed him titular Archbishop of Antioch in Pisidia .
