Ranulfo da Silva Farias (born September 12, 1887 in Nazaré , Bahia , Brazil , † October 19, 1963 in Maceió , Alagoas ) was Archbishop of Maceió .
Life
Ranulfo da Silva Farias received on 3 April 1910, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On April 22nd, 1920 Pope Benedict XV appointed him . to the Bishop of Guaxupé . The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia , Jerônimo Tomé da Silva , donated him episcopal ordination on September 12 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Maceió, Manuel Antônio de Oliveira Lopes , and the Bishop of Ilhéus , Manoel Antônio de Paiva . In 1920 Ranulfo da Silva Farias had the Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora seminary built in Guaxupé , which he inaugurated on February 2, 1923.
Pope Pius XII appointed him on August 5, 1939 Archbishop of Maceió.
