Francs-tireurs et partisans
The Francs-tireurs et partisans (FTP), in German, irregulars and partisans , were a resistance organization of the French Resistance during World War II . The word FR-Shooter literally means Freischütz . This term has been used to describe irregular fighters, i.e. fighters who did not belong to a specific army, since Napoleonic times.
The FTP were founded by the French Communist Party .
