Frank Albanese

Frank Albanese (born May 16, 1931 in Long Island , New York City , † October 5, 2015 in Staten Island , New York City) was an American actor .

Life

Albanese was active as a boxer in his youth. Under his coach Rocky Graziano he played 14 fights, all of which he ended with a knockout . After the end of his sports career, he worked as a dock worker. Albanese made his film debut in 1971 in an uncredited extra role in Arthur Hiller's comedy Hotel Whisper . He first presented in the television movie Honor Thy Father a Mafioso is not until 1989, he was seen again as an actor. In the television show America's Most Wanted , he played the mobster Paul Castellano . The following year he had a supporting role as a lawyer in Martin Scorsese's Oscar- winning mafia film Good Fellas - Three Decades in the Mafia . He gained fame among international television audiences through his recurring supporting role as Patrizio Blundetto (Uncle Pat) in the HBO series The Sopranos .
