Frank Bruhne

Frank Brühne (born May 18, 1941 in Munich ; † October 19, 2017 ) was a German cameraman .

After training in a lab and in the animation techniques, he spent several years Camera Wizard of Wolf Wirth , including 1,965 at the pious Helene . After making short films and working for television, he made his feature film debut as head cameraman at Hans W. Geissendörfer's Sternsteinhof after Ludwig Anzengruber .

After that, Brühne made a name for himself, especially in the 1970s and 1980s, as the creator of sober, sometimes bleak-looking recordings of the realities of everyday life in West Germany, including semi-documentary films such as 1986 Stammheim . Brühne cooperated several times with director Reinhard Hauff . In 1979 he was awarded the gold film tape for his camera work on Messer im Kopf .
