Frank Dehne (born February 14, 1976 in Berlin ) is a former German national volleyball player .

Career

Frank Dehne was 293 times German national player , only René Hecht and Jochen Schöps completed more international matches. Frank Dehne began his volleyball career in 1985 with the small Berlin club SG Rupenhorn. In 1994 he joined the Bundesliga team Post Telekom Berlin . In 1997 he moved to local rivals SCC Berlin within the capital . In the same year he was appointed to the senior national team, with which he participated in the European Championship in the Netherlands . With the SC, Dehne won the DVV Cup in 2000 and became German champion in 2003. At the European Championships in Germany , he experienced his third European championship after 1997 and 2001 . Then he went abroad. After a season with the French club Rennes Etudiants Club Volley , he moved to Lube Macerata . In 2005 he won the CEV Cup with the Italians . He then played for newly promoted Codyeco St. Croce , but could not prevent his club from being relegated directly. At the 2006 World Cup in Japan , things went much better for Dehne; in the end it was enough for ninth place. Afterwards it was hardly used in Vibo Valentia . After the club's relegation and a brief stint in Coriglano , Dehne left Italy and went to the Polish club PZU AZS Olsztyn . With the national team, he finished fifth at the 2007 European Championships in Russia and ninth at the Beijing Olympic Games in August 2008. After the Olympic tournament he played again in Italy for Marmi Lanza Verona and in 2009/10 in Turkey for Galatasaray Istanbul .
