Frank Watts

Frank William Watts , (born June 13, 1929 in Kensington and Chelsea , London , United Kingdom ; † March 5, 1994 ibid) was a British cameraman and President of the British Society of Cinematographers .

Live and act

Watts came to film in 1950 as a camera assistant (so-called focus puller ). Since the mid-1950s he worked as a camera assistant, from 1967 as head cameraman. From a young age, the Briton was involved in popular British television series such as Sir Francis Drake , Simon Templar and The Baron .

During the shooting of the last-mentioned crime series, Frank Watts became head cameraman in 1967. Watts remained connected to the TV series work, but also went on trips to the cinema every now and then.
