Frankenland tournament

The Franconia tournament from 1966 to 2006, the oldest of the fencing club Tauberbischofsheim discharged tournament. It was an international men epee -Weltcup the juniors in Tauberbischofsheim in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Baden-Wuerttemberg .

Frankenland tournament

The Frankenland tournament was first fought in Tauberbischofsheim in 1966. The winner of the first three “Frankenland tournaments” was Elmar Beierstettel , who was able to keep the Frankenland tournament cup for this triple triumph . After the 41st Frankenland tournament in 2006, there was no more junior world cup in men's epee in Tauberbischofsheim.

Fencers from the Tauberbischofsheim fencing club were able to win the tournament the most, with a total of nine successes. The record winner is Elmar Beierstettel , who can boast three successes. Beierstettel is also the only fencer who was able to win the tournament more than once and defend his title, which he did twice in a row.
