Frankie Shaw
Rachel Frances "Frankie" Shaw (* 1986 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American actress . She is also active as a director and screenwriter .
life and career
Frankie Shaw grew up in Brookline , Massachusetts . Her mother raised her to be Jewish . She has a degree in English literature from Columbia University .
She first caught on with a role in the completely improvised film The Freebie , which was shown at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival . Shaw subsequently starred in other independent films , including Crazy About Barry . From 2010 to 2011 she played the recurring role of Mary Jo Cacciatore on the Blue Mountain State series . In addition, she also took on guest roles in series such as Criminal Intent , CSI: NY or 2 Broke Girls . However, she only gained greater fame in 2015 through the role of Shayla Nico in the first season of the thriller series Mr. Robot .
In addition to her acting activities, Shaw also appears as a director, screenwriter and producer, especially of short films. In 2015, the production of the series SMILF , which was initially published as a short film, in which Shaw is involved in all three positions. In 2017 she played a supporting role in The Disaster Artist and took on another role in Stronger , alongside Jake Gyllenhaal . Frankie Shaw lives and works in Los Angeles . A son was born from a relationship with actor Mark Webber (* 2009). After the split, she married producer Zach Strauss in 2016.
