Franz-Josef Niemann

Franz-Josef Niemann (born March 12, 1952 in Düsseldorf ) is a Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

After high school at Görres-Gymnasium (Dusseldorf) in 1970, he studied Catholic theology (diploma thesis in 1977 development of dogma by Johann Evangelist Kuhn . An investigation into the second edition of his "Introduction to the Catholic dogma" ) and philosophy (thesis 1974 freedom in Leibniz's theodicy ) of 1970 to 1975 at the Pontifical Gregorian University and University of Innsbruck and from 1975 to 1977 biblical exegesis at the Pontifical Biblical Institute (licentiate thesis Narration of the Empty Tomb in the Gospel of Mark) and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem . After ordination in 1977 he was assistant for fundamental theology in Innsbruck with Walter Kern , who received his doctorate in 1981 . He was a pastor and religion teacher at the grammar school in Neuss . From 1988 to 1994 he worked as a temporary academic advisor to Joachim Gnilka . For three semesters in 1994/1995 he was the professor for systematic theology at the University of Wuppertal . Since 1995 he has taught as a professor in Kiel and later in Flensburg .
