Franz-Rasso Böck

Franz-Rasso Böck (* 1957 in Pfronten ) is a German historian and archivist .

Live and act

Böck attended the Carl-von-Linde-Gymnasium in Kempten . He completed his history studies at the University of Augsburg in 1984 with a master's thesis on the library of the former Benedictine monastery Sankt Mang zu Füssen. His dissertation, completed in 1988 and supervised by Pankraz Fried , examines the takeover of the Princely Monastery of Kempten and the Imperial City of Kempten by the Bavarian state at the beginning of the 19th century. Since 1992, Böck has headed the Kempten City Archives as successor to Wolfgang Haberl . His research focuses on the history of Kempten at the end of the early modern period and in the modern age.

Böck is a lecturer in history at the University of Applied Sciences Kempten , participates in the lecture program of the Swabian district at the Irsee Schwabenakademie and heads the Kempten / Memmingen, Unterallgäu district association of the Bavarian Federation . He is married and has two children.
