Franz Barbarini
Franz Barbarini (* 1804 in Znaim ; † January 20, 1873 in Vienna ) was an Austrian landscape painter , engraver and etcher .
Life
Franz Barbarini studied at the Vienna Academy in the sculpture class from 1824 to 1826 , then with the sculptor Josef Kempel . After initial engraving work , he turned to landscape painting. Realistic oil paintings , watercolors , drawings and etchings were created on study trips through the Austrian and Swiss Alps .
His sons Gustav Barbarini (1840–1909) and Emil Barbarini (1855–1933) also became painters.
