Franz Bonn (born July 18, 1830 in Munich , † July 7, 1894 in Regensburg ) was a German writer, humorous poet, lawyer and politician.

Life

After graduating from the Wilhelm Gymnasium München Bonn studied from 1846 to 1851 in Munich jurisprudence . Initially he was Staatsanwalts- substitute in Donauwörth , Ansbach and Bayreuth , then prosecutor at the Higher Regional Court in Munich . In 1880 he entered the service of the Princely House of Thurn and Taxis , most recently as president of the domain chamber and director of the civil collegial court in Regensburg. He was a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 1881 to 1886.

The versatile Franz Bonn wrote under various pseudonyms ( Franz von Münchberg, Freiherr von Rachwitz and von Miris ) numerous youth writings, stories, dramas, opera texts and poems. He achieved great success with Lustige Naturgeschichte or Zoologia comica , which was followed by Volume 2 with botany and mineralogy (Munich at Braun & Schneider, 1877 f.). He also wrote humorous poetic contributions for the Fliegende Blätter and the Münchener Bilderbogen .

Franz Bonn was married to Bertha Promoli and the father of the actor Ferdinand Bonn (1861-1933).
