Franz Bucar (painter)

Franz Bucar (born January 21, 1925 ; † April 6, 2014 ) was an Austrian civil servant , popular educator , family and local researcher , club official, calligrapher and restorer of paintings and rural estates.

Live and act

Bucar lived and worked in Vöcklabruck. He was married and the father of four sons. His last job was as the official director of the AMS Kirchdorf an der Krems . In addition, he can refer to extensive artistic work and many years of voluntary work in the field of folk art and culture . He belonged to the Innviertel artists' guild and the Hausruckviertel art group.

His works include many certificates and writings for people to be honored, among the latter many who have made a name for themselves in popular culture. He was a founding member of the Auracher Prangerschützen , for which he designed the flag and coat of arms. He was also the founding chairman and honorary chairman of the Hausruckviertel art group. He was a board member at the Stehrerhof open-air museum .

He was a member of Upper Austria. Working group for small and field monument research and was responsible for more than 300 restorations of small monuments throughout Upper Austria, which he redesigned with pictures. Associated with this was the illustration of a number of related publications.

Bucar was the publisher of newsletters that were sent twice a year to more than 600 subscribers at home and abroad and were shaped by his graphics. Shortly before his death, he worked on the Upper Austrian small monument database, for which he created the majority of the drawings.
