Franz Ceska

Franz Ceska (born January 31, 1936 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian ambassador .

Life

Franz Ceska is the son of Emma Kbnigson and Paul Ceska, married to Veronique Moyret and has three children. He studied law at the University of Vienna , where he received his doctorate in law . He studied at the College of Europe in Bruges from 1958 to 1959 . From 1959 to 1961 he was employed in the political section of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs . From 1961 to 1965 he was employed in Paris . From 1965 to 1969 he was employed in the Politics section of the Foreign Ministry in Vienna. From 1969 to 1975 he was the permanent representative of the representative of the Austrian government to the United Nations organizations in Geneva. From 1975 to 1977 he headed the Austrian delegation in West Berlin. From 1977 to 1982 he headed the Department of Disarmament in the Foreign Ministry in Vienna, and the Austrian delegation to Madrid for a follow-up meeting of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe in 1980 and 1983. From 1982 to 1988 he was ambassador in Brussels. From 1988 to 1991 he was Permanent Representative of Austria to the United Nations in Geneva. as with the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and the European Free Trade Association . From April 1, 1992 to 1997 he was General Secretary of the Federation of Industrialists . From 1997 to 2001 he was ambassador to Paris.

Until 2012 he was also president of the relief organization Austria International for 13 years before he was replaced by Monika Lindner .

Since 1956 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KaV Marco-Danubia Vienna in the ÖCV .
