Franz Gambs

Franz Gambs (born May 22, 1846 in Bamberg , † March 30, 1917 in Stuttgart ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Franz Gambs studied law and political science at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen . In 1864 he became a member of the Isaria Corps . In 1869 he passed the 1st and in 1872 the 2nd judicial and administrative examination in Bavaria. He then did a legal internship, became a government trainee in the Württemberg administration in June 1874, and in 1875 passed the second higher service examination in the Department of the Interior. After he had already become a deputy bailiff in the Oberamt Kirchheim in June 1874 , he was appointed a scheduled bailiff there in 1876 . From 1879 to 1882 he was a government assessor at the Agricultural and Forestry Institute in Hohenheim. In 1882 he became the chief official and head of the Office Oberamts Crailsheim appointed. In 1887 he moved in the same position to the Maulbronn Office and in 1895 to the Böblingen Office . After he had been appointed government councilor in 1900, he was appointed senior official and collegial councilor to the Stuttgart District Office in 1902 . In 1912 he was retired and appointed to the senior government council.
