Franz Garlik

Franz Garlik (* in Giengen an der Brenz ) is a German musician , singer and actor .

Life

Garlik attended the University of Music and Performing Arts in Mannheim as well as the Central School of Speech and Drama in London and the German Actor Academy in Munich .

He played at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich, the State Theater Innsbruck , the City Theater Regensburg , the City Theater Meran , the Clingenburg Festival and the Theater Neu-Ulm . In 2008 he sang Rosillon in the operetta The Merry Widow at the Sherman Theater in Cardiff and Rodolfo in La Bohème at the Stadttheater Neuburg. In 2009 he sang Duke in Rigoletto and in 2010 Alfredo in La traviata . He also sang Tamino in Die Zauberflöte (2011) and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly .

In 2011 he sang Martin Luther in the musical Martin L. - The Musical on a tour of the theater Die Katakombe Frankfurt .

Franz Garlik was part of the bands A little Bit of Jazz , Basin Street Stompers , Los Tres Chicos de la Gasolinera , Poodles Revenge as well as 2 Voices - 2 Trumpets and the Bayreuth Comedian Harmonists . Franz Garlik was director of the Ellwangen Jazz Orchestra from 2008.

In March 2017 Garlik staged the world premiere of the play Maria und die Callas for the Herrlingen Theater. In summer 2017 he was musical director of the Clingenburg Festival .

Garlik is also involved in various film and television productions. He is married to the soprano Lauren Francis .
