Franz Jakob

Franz Jakob (born November 17, 1891 in Veitsaurach , † September 10, 1965 in Ingolstadt ) was a German National Socialist politician.

Career

Jakob worked as senior secretary for the Reichsbahn . In 1930 he moved to the city council of Fürth as a member of the NSDAP . When the NSDAP was able to increase the number of its seats from 9 to 43 in the last free state elections in Bavaria on April 24, 1932, he also became a member of the Bavarian state parliament .

From 1933 to 1940 he was Lord Mayor of the city of Fürth . From 1940 to 1945 he was mayor of the city of Thorn , which was annexed to the German Reich after the German invasion of Poland in 1939 .
