Franz Kustner

Franz Kustner (born June 23, 1950 in Ehenfeld ) is a German politician ( CSU ) and was a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 2002 to 2008 .

Life and work

From 1957 to 1964 Kustner attended the Ehenfeld elementary school. He completed the subsequent three-year agricultural vocational school in Amberg and the training to become a farmer in 1967. He attended the agricultural college in Amberg to become an agricultural economist from 1968 to 1970. From 1970 to 1972 he was trained in metal construction and welding. He completed the state master craftsman's examination to become an agricultural master and the preparatory courses for it between 1972 and 1974.

Kustner was on the board of the Amberg-Sulzbach district association of the KLJB from 1968 to 1974. 1978 was active in the young farmers' group in the Amberg-Sulzbach district. In 1982 he became district chairman of the Bavarian Farmers' Association (BBV) for Amberg-Sulzbach. Since 1992 he has been district president of the BBV for the Upper Palatinate .

Kustner is a Roman Catholic, married and has four daughters.

politics

At the age of 16, Kustner joined the JU in 1966 and the CSU in the same year. Since 1984 he has been a member of the district council in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach, since 1996 city councilor in Hirschau .

From 1993 until its abolition in 2000 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate . On May 1, 2002, Kustner replaced Herbert Mirbeth in the Bavarian state parliament. He was a member until October 19, 2008. He was a member of the Committees for Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Consumer Protection, Local Affairs and Internal Security, and for State Budget and Financial Matters.

In the state elections in 1998 and 2008 , he did not move into the state parliament as a candidate on the list of the Upper Palatinate district because the CSU did not have enough votes.
