Franz Landgraf (General)

Franz Landgraf (born July 16, 1888 in Munich , † April 19, 1944 in Stuttgart ) was a German officer, most recently lieutenant general in World War II .

Life

Landgraf joined the Royal Bavarian 5th Infantry Regiment "Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig von Hessen" as an ensign in 1909 . After serving in World War I , he joined the Bamberg Freikorps in April 1919. In February 1920 he was accepted into the Reichswehr . In the Wehrmacht, Landgraf was in command of the 7th Panzer Regiment, the 4th Panzer Brigade, the 6th Panzer Division and the 155th Reserve Panzer Division during World War II .
