Franz Philipp von Wildenstein

Franz Philipp Freiherr von Wildenstein (born April 19, 1696 in Styria ; † March 11, 1770 ) was a knight of the Teutonic Order from the Styrian noble family of Wildenstein .

Life

Franz Philipp von Wildenstein, who came from Styria , was accepted into the Teutonic Order on June 20, 1730 in Ellingen . In 1734 he became house commander in Mergentheim and in 1738 commander of Oettingen and Donauwörth .

From 1741 he was Commander of the Teutonic Order of Virnsberg and in 1746 was also councilor of the Ballei Franken .

As early as 1730 he was a captain of the royal Würzburg General-Eyb'schen regiment on foot and was promoted to major in 1737 and major general in 1745 . For this purpose he took over the administration of Rheinberg-Traar as governor in 1747.

The Archbishop of Cologne and Grand Master of the Teutonic Order Clemens August I of Bavaria appointed Wildenstein on July 25, 1748 as governor of the high masters Freudenthal , Eulenberg and Busau in Silesia and Moravia , which he remained until 1757.
