Franz Schädler (architect)

Franz Schaedler (also: Francois Schadler ; or François Schaedler * 1733 in Hannover ; † 29. February 1796 ) was a Fürstbischöflich Osnabrück , Royal United Britanni shear and Electoral Brunswick-Lüneburgischer architect, master builder and yard - master carpenter .

Life

Franz Schädler was born at the time of the personal union between Great Britain and Hanover in 1733 as the son of the master builder Joseph Schädler (1692–1763). He completed an apprenticeship in a carpentry shop and then went on a four-year hike as a journeyman . In 1756 he enrolled in mathematics at the University of Göttingen . Two years later he passed his master craftsman's examination as a carpenter in 1758.

From 1762 to 1765, Schädler stayed in his native Hanover. After his appointment as master builder of the high pin Osnabrück he served the country's domination in the years 1766 to 1782 before moving to the death of Heinrich Christian Körtje short († 1780) vacancy in 1782 the vacancy in electoral Hanover as a master builder in Calenberger farming district took . In Hanover, Francois Schaedler was in charge of the first Kurhannoverschen agricultural district with the areas of Calenberg, Göttingen, Grubenhagen and Hohnstein, before the district was reduced in 1787 to the areas around Hohnstein and parts of Göttingen and Grubenhagen.

Franz Schädler's son Karl Ludwig Schädler († after 1822) studied with Georg Christoph Lichtenberg and was, among other things, administrator of the brickworks there in Herrenhausen .
