Franz Starosson

Franz Starosson (born May 3, 1874 in Berlin - † July 4, 1919 in Rostock ) was a German SPD politician (member of the state parliament and Reich parliamentarian).

Life

Like his father, he graduated after attending the elementary school training as a hairdresser and worked in this profession. He was involved in the socialist youth workers and in the SPD. From 1898 Franz Starosson worked as an editor, later as editor-in-chief of the Volkszeitung in Rostock, Doberaner Straße 6. He was a member of the Rostock citizens' council and was a member of the Mecklenburg-Schwerin state parliament and the Weimar national assembly from 1919 until his death . In 1918/19 he held the post of State Minister for Transport in Mecklenburg under Prime Minister Hugo Wendorff . Franz and Emma Starosson had two children, Gertrud and Alfred , who was Minister for Trade and Supply in the state of Mecklenburg after the Second World War .
