Franz Xaver Forchner

Franz Xaver Forchner (born November 14, 1717 in Dietenheim , † September 19, 1751 in Dietenheim) was a painter of the Upper Swabian Baroque .

Life

Franz Xaver was Chrysostom Forchner's brother by four years older . He was probably trained by Johann Georg Bergmüller at the Augsburg Imperial City Academy . The influence of Franz Georg Hermann the Elder is evident in his works. J. noticeable. The brothers shared a workshop in Muttensweiler . In 1745 he married in his native Dietenheim. He died in 1751 at the age of 33. After his death and the completion of the job in Muttensweiler, his brother Chrysostom had to close the joint workshop.
