Franz Xaver Lerno

Franz Xaver Lerno (born February 13, 1849 in Straubing , † January 20, 1920 in Munich ) was a Bavarian politician ( center ) who belonged to the German Reichstag and the Chamber of Deputies of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Lerno comes from a family of French origin, his ancestors spelled L'Hernault. After attending grammar school in Straubing and Regensburg , Lerno began studying law in Würzburg . During his studies in 1869 he became a member of the Adelphia Würzburg student association . In 1879 he became III. Public Prosecutor at the Straubing Regional Court, 1880 local judge in Nuremberg, 1883 local judge in Passau, 1886 public prosecutor at the Munich I regional court and 1890 regional judge in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate. In 1914 he was promoted to Attorney General and Senate President at the Munich Higher Regional Court .

From June 1893 to June 1903, Lerno was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Amberg . From 1893 to 1914 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies for the constituency of Amberg , from which he resigned because of his promotion to Attorney General. Lerno had been a member of the board of the center parliamentary group and deputy chairman of the parliamentary group since 1897, and in autumn 1911 he was elected chairman of the parliamentary group as the successor to the late Balthasar von Daller .
