Franz Weber , from 1865 by Weber , (born February 1, 1812 in Esslingen am Neckar , † November 3, 1874 in Stuttgart ) was a German lawyer and politician.

After attending grammar school in Stuttgart and the Lyceum in Tübingen, Franz Weber studied law in Tübingen and Heidelberg from 1828 to 1837 and had been a member of the Concordia Tübingen fraternity since 1828 . In 1837 he entered the state service in Württemberg . Stations of his professional career: court actuary in Tübingen, senior justice assessor in Ellwangen (Jagst) , senior judicial councilor in Ellwangen and Tübingen, since 1861 senior tribunal councilor in Stuttgart. Franz Weber died in Stuttgart during the adjournment of the state parliament.

In 1851 he was elected to the state parliament for the first time in the Schwäbisch Hall constituency. In 1863 he succeeded Friedrich von Römer as president of the state parliament and held this office until 1868. With brief interruptions he was a member of parliament until his death in 1874. After his re-election to the state parliament in the Cannstatt constituency , he was re-elected President in 1870 and remained so until his death. From 1871 he was also a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 11 ( Hall , Backnang , Öhringen , Weinsberg ).

family

Franz Weber was the son of the President of the Württemberg State Court Heinrich Benedikt von Weber (1777–1844) and Friederike Charlotte Weber born. Sülzer and had five siblings. He married Wilhelmine Knies, with whom he had a child.

Ennoblement

Franz Weber received the commentary cross of the Order of the Württemberg Crown in 1865 , which was associated with the personal title of nobility ( ennoblement ).
