The Franzosenbach is an orographically right tributary of the Red Brook in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . It has a length of 1.9 km.
River course
The French stream originates at the level of Beier mountains on the area of the city Bad Lippspringe within the training area Senne and the flattening of the flows Teutoburgerwald upstream Senne landscape following in southwestern direction.
After crossing into the municipality of Hövelhof , the Franzosenbach crosses under the Wechmarbrücke and flows into the Rote Bach on the right at the level of the Zitzewitzbrücke. During its entire course, the body of water is exclusively in the area of the military training area.
The Franzosenbach overcomes a height difference of 12 meters during its course of the river, resulting in an average bed gradient of 6.3 ‰.
