Frédéric Michalak (born October 16, 1982 in Toulouse , Haute-Garonne Department ) is a no longer active French rugby union player who was used on the position of the scrum or the connector . He was active for the French national team and the RC Toulon . He is one of the most famous players in his sport in France . Frédéric Michalak is 1.82 m tall and weighs 77 kg.

Michalak made his debut for the French national team against South Africa on November 10, 2001 . He had previously won his first championship title with Toulouse. In 2003 and 2005 he was able to win the Heineken Cup with his team. He took part in the World Championships in 2003 and 2007 , with France eliminated in the semi-finals. At the 2003 World Cup, Frédéric Michalak scored 103 points behind Jonny Wilkinson (113 points), the second highest number of points. In 2002 , 2004 and 2006 he won the Six Nations tournament with the French national team .

After the 2007 World Cup tournament, Michalak moved to South Africa to join the Sharks . With the Natal Sharks he won the 2008 Currie Cup . He played in South Africa for a year and then returned to Toulouse. In 2011 he moved to South Africa to join the Sharks. From 2012 to 2016 he played for the French top 14 club RC Toulon .
