Frederick D'Souza
Frederick D'Souza (born December 4, 1934 in Siddakatte ; † July 12, 2016 ) was an Indian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Jhansi .
Life
Frederick D'Souza was ordained a priest on January 1, 1961 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Jhansi on March 4, 1977 . He was ordained bishop by the Archbishop of Agra , Dominic Romuald Basil Athaide, OFMCap , on April 25 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Patrick Nair , Bishop of Meerut , and Baptist Mudartha , Bishop of Allahabad .
On October 31, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. the resignation put forward by Frederick D'Souza for reasons of age.
