She finds out that Sister Gomez is a cannibal who is the leader of a child porn ring. Van Meuther frees Garcia and realizes that Sister Gomez is not only to blame for Garcia's psychosis, but also a man in disguise. The girls force him into an oven where they burn him alive.

Reviews

Mick LaSalle wrote in the San Francisco Chronicle on 8 October 1999 that the continuation of the film Freeway is the first film since the release of the original, which was similar to the original. It shows a similar " sensitivity " as the original. LaSalle praised the script, the direction and the rendering.

background

The film was shot in Mexico and Vancouver from February to March 1999. Its production amounted to an estimated 2 million US dollars .

Director and writer, Matthew Bright , was inspired by Grimm's fairy tales Hansel and Gretel . Accordingly, grotesque elements appear again and again in the film, which mix fantasy and reality. Just as in fairy tales the witch lures children into her crunchy house disguised as an old woman, Sister Gomez, as a modern witch, is a cannibal disguised as a woman, who abuses children for pornographic purposes and wants to fatten up Crystal in order to ultimately eat them. As a result, she is pushed into the oven by Crystal and Angela at the end and there also takes on the facial features of the witch from the fairy tale.
