Freiham is a church village on the district of the same name and an officially named part of the municipality of Eiselfing .

The place is about three kilometers south of Wasserburg am Inn above the right bank of the Inn . State road 2359 runs through the village .

Freiham, Hausmehring , Höhfelden , Kerschdorf and Spielberg are located in the Freiham district

history

The former municipality of Freiham in the Wasserburg am Inn district had a good 760 hectares and the seven towns of Kerschdorf, Au , Freiham, Hausmehring, Höhfelden, Laiming and Spielberg. It went on April 1, 1971 in the municipality Eiselfing, which was formed from the previously independent municipalities Aham , Bachmehring , Freiham and Schönberg . In 1972 Au and Laiming were reclassified from the municipality of Eiselfing to Griesstätt and are now in the Griesstätt district.
