course

The Freudenbach rises southeast of the village of the same name Freudenbach from a pond on the edge of the forest. It flows towards the place, turns a little before it about shortly after the confluence of the left tributary Lachengraben on approximately northern course, crosses it and then runs through the valley meanders of a small shell limestone valley . Between the two places mentioned, it flows into the Steinach from the left on Bavarian land .

The Steinbach is 5.2 km long, of which only the last 100 meters are in Bavaria, after the state border had already partially extended to the right bank.
