Frida Sophia Hallgren (born December 16, 1974 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish actress .

At the age of 14 (1988), Frida Hallgren got her first role as Anna in the children's film Det första äventyret (The First Adventure) . In addition to some appearances in Swedish TV series, Hallgren attended the Malmö Theater School after graduating from high school . The training was combined with an internship at the Gothenburg City Theater . After graduating in 1998, Hallgren received several theater roles in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Uppsala . She achieved international fame through the female lead role of Lena in Kay Pollak's Oscar-nominated film Wie im Himmel . Since 2007 she has been shooting the ZDF multi-part series Der Kommissar und das Meer alongside Walter Sittler and Inger Nilsson . She also worked in the Swedish film Die Insel der Puppens in the Swedish film series Maria Wern, Kripo Gotland and in several films in the Arne Dahl film series in the role of Cilla Hjelm, the wife of the investigating commissioner Paul Hjelm.
