Friedrich Ammermüller

Christoph Friedrich Ammermüller (born November 6, 1809 in Stockach ; † August 2, 1898 in Stuttgart ) was a doctor, teacher, entrepreneur, publicist and politician from Württemberg .

Life

Friedrich Ammermüller attended the Lyceum in Tübingen . He then studied medicine in Tübingen and natural sciences and technology in Berlin and Paris . He was one of the active fraternity members (1826 membership in the fraternity Germania Tübingen ) and received his doctorate in 1832 as Dr. med. From 1835 to 1837 he was a teacher at the trade school in Schaffhausen and from 1837 to 1852 at the secondary school in Reutlingen . In 1840 he became head of the Reutlingen Trade Association and in 1848 he was appointed to the advisory board of the Central Office for Trade and Commerce in Stuttgart. During the revolutionary years he was one of the leading politicians in Reutlingen. In 1850 he was a member of the second Württemberg state assembly for Urach .

In 1852 Ammermüller, who was to be transferred to Isny as a punishment because of his unpleasant political attitude , left school service. He took over the chairmanship of the traveling assemblies of the Württemberg trade associations and later the chairmanship of the Stuttgart trade association, he also became a partner in the Siegleschen Farbwarenfabrik in Stuttgart and a member of the administrative board of the Stuttgarter Rentenanstalt. He published numerous articles on trade and industry policy.

Ammermüller was a member of the Second Chamber of the Württemberg estates from 1862 to 1870 for Heidenheim and from 1876 to 1877 for Öhringen . From 1868 to 1870 he was also a member of the Customs Parliament as a member of the Württemberg 15 constituency ( Reutlingen , Tübingen , Rottenburg ) .
