Friedrich Conze

Friedrich Leo Carl Conze (born December 24, 1864 in Halle (Saale) ; † January 19, 1949 in Weißenbrunn , Upper Franconia ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer and district administrator in the Mogilno district (1900-1908).

Life

Conze studied philosophy and law in Bonn , Leipzig and Berlin . From 1894 he worked in the civil service and from 1900 to 1908 served as district administrator in the Mogilno district in the province of Poznan . From 1908 he was employed in the Prussian Ministry of the Interior as a lecturing council for the Ostmark and for communal affairs in the East. From 1918 Conze worked as a ministerial director in the Ministry of Welfare until he was retired in 1930. He was a member of the national liberal German People's Party (DVP) . From 1930 to 1934 he was President of the Evangelical Union .

In 1931 Conze received an honorary theological doctorate from the University of Halle .
